J.T. Barrett is probable for the Big Ten Championship game, Urban Meyer said yesterday at his weekly press conference, adding “He’s doing a nice job with all of the rehab.” After his come from behind performance last week against Michigan, backup quarterback Dwayne Haskins will split the reps in practice this week as Barrett continues to recover.
Meyer, and the team, have a growing belief that Haskins can step up again if called on Saturday, “To see [Haskins] perform in that environment, and more importantly against that defense. That’s an elite defense…The quarterback is the most unique position in all of sport. And to see that there’s confidence among [his teammates]…I could see it in the room that there’s a lot of confidence in him.” Bill Landis with more.
