After a dominant win against Sparty and chaos around the country, Ohio State jumped to No. 9 in the latest college football playoff rankings. The Buckeyes have a 28% chance to make the playoff, the 7th best in the nation according to FiveThirtyEight. One of Ohio State’s most plausible paths is if Oklahoma and Alabama win out – and either Clemson or Miami wins the ACC Championship game in a rout (to dissuade the committee from putting two ACC teams in the playoff over a two-loss Big Ten champ Ohio State). Bottom line – there’s still a lot of football left to be played, and Ohio State has multiple pathways to the playoff.
