Ohio State fell seven spots to No. 13 in the latest playoff rankings. In the Big 10, only Wisconsin (No. 8), and Michigan State (No. 12) rank higher. This weekend will bring significant movement in the rankings, with six top-10 teams squaring off against one another (No. 1 Georgia vs No. 10 Auburn; No. 3 Notre Dame vs No. 7 Miami; No. 6 TCU vs No. 5 Oklahoma). The Buckeyes remain long shot odds for the playoff but are not completely dead. FiveThirtyEight projects OSU with a 45% chance to win the Big 10 conference and a 14% chance to make the playoff (the tenth best odds to make the playoff among FBS schools).
