Favored by 18 points, Ohio State was outcoached and outplayed in all phases of the game by Iowa. The 55-24 loss stunned the Buckeyes (and to be honest, it stunned Iowa too), likely eliminating OSU from playoff contention. But all is not lost. With Penn State’s loss to Michigan State, the winner of next Saturday’s game in the Horseshoe against the Spartans will have a clear path to the Big Ten East crown. Both OSU and Michigan State sit atop the East with a 5-1 record, and 7-2 mark overall.
