Ohio State will be without its leading receiver today as Parris Campbell did not make the trip to Iowa, according to a report by Clay Hall. Campbell left the Penn State game in the first quarter last week after sustaining an apparent head injury. In his place, K.J. Hill readily stepped into the H-Back role leading the team with 12 receptions for 102 yards against the Nittany Lions.
The Buckeyes are favored big — by 18 today — in Iowa. The Hawkeyes have consistently played to the level of their competition this year. Excluding a blow out win against Illinois, each of their Big Ten games has been decided by seven points or less, including a last second 21-19 loss to Penn State.
Ohio State enters the game with the threat of a road let-down after an emotional victory last week against Penn State. Even so, this is a tough match up for Iowa. Look for OSU to frustrate a Hawkeye offense that ranks No. 103 in the nation. Iowa will make some plays, but it won’t be enough to hang with the Buckeyes over 60 minutes. OSU 34-10.
