The Buckeyes surged to a No. 3 ranking in the AP Poll, trailing only Alabama and Georgia. Other teams of note in the AP top ten, Wisconsin sits at No. 4, Penn State No. 7, and Oklahoma landed at No. 8. Read the full poll here. The AP poll is one final appetizer prior to the main course. The only rankings that matter – from the College Football Playoff committee – will be released for the first time Tuesday night. Don’t be surprised if Georgia, Alabama, and Notre Dame are ranked by the committee in the top three spots. Even with the early loss to Oklahoma, Ohio State could rank as high as No. 4 after Saturday’s signature win against Penn State.
