A bye week is a great time to get healthy and improve some things. And one thing that deserves some thought is all the penalties OSU has been called for. Ohio State is actually on pace to be flagged for more penalties than any previous OSU team under Urban Meyer. The Buckeyes have been flagged for 52 penalties, 116th worst in the nation. OSU is averaging 7.4 penalties a game, being set back 74.4 yards per game. At this rate, Ohio State is set to break the 7 penalties, 64.5 penalty yards per game average from 2012- the worst mark since Meyer began coaching OSU. Read my latest at Land-Grant Holy Land on the penalty problem, and seven surprising OSU stats seven games into the season.
