Dwayne Haskins Shining as Scout Team QB: How do you stop Clemson QB Deshaun Watson? Having a good Watson impersonator in practice doesn’t hurt. And third-string quarterback Dwayne Haskins has been making the most of his opportunity playing Watson on the scout team. Quarterbacks coach Tim Beck said, “Dwayne had a chance to go with the twos and looked really good…This is the good part of having these extra weeks of practice, you get to see these guys play a little bit…Dwayne is a very talented young man, and he has been. We knew that. But a lot of times as a third-string quarterback during the season they don’t get very many reps. Sometimes it’s hard to send him to scout team because he’s a play away from being the backup. Some weeks he doesn’t do a lot. This week we’re using him there.” Bill Landis with more on Haskins’ strong performance on the scout team.
