Elflein wins Rimington Trophy: Quick — name the last Ohio State player to win a national position award? If you said Malcolm Jenkins, who snagged the Jim Thorpe Award in 2008, you are a winner. Yesterday, Pat Elflein ended the drought bringing home the Rimington Trophy given to the nation’s best center. Bill Rabinowitz reports that Elflein was ecstatic, “It’s a dream come true…All my dreams are coming true right now.” Elflein was also named first-team All American by Walter Camp, USA Today, and Sporting News, along with Malik Hooker. While Curtis Samuel was named first team All-American by Sporting News.
