Urban – This Team ‘Grew Up’

URBAN – THIS TEAM ‘GREW UP’: Ohio State snapped Northwestern’s three game win streak 24-20 in an at times ugly performance to improve to 7-1. Despite the close call, Urban likes the signs he’s seen from his young team over the past couple of weeks, “Our team went on the road to play in three ridiculous, really tough environments. They grew up. They got tougher. They went and played a team that just beat Michigan State, Indiana and Iowa, two of them on the road and they were in a street fight and they end up winning. Very proud of them. I love these guys. They’re very young. That’s fine. That’s no more excuses about that. But we’re going to continue to get better. Is this team whatever everybody wants them to be? Probably not yet, but they’re working very hard to get to that point.”

RACE FOR THE EAST: It remains a three team race for the Big 10 East between Ohio State, That School Up North and Penn State. All took care of business Saturday. That School Up North improved to 8-0, ending their three game losing streak to Sparty 32-23 in East Lansing. Penn State obliterated Purdue 62-24 in West Lafayette. If all keep winning, and the Buckeyes beat the Wolverines November 26 In Columbus, Ohio State will be in Indianapolis.

Happy World Series Sunday as the Tribe look to finish off the Cubs in Wrigley. The world can be an uncertain place, but one thing is for sure: Cleveland rocks (except for, of course, the Browns).
