Buckeye Daily – JT Ready to Lead Young, Talented Offense

By Jim Baird | AM Football Briefing | Thursday, September 1

JT READY TO LEAD: For all the talent of last year’s team, OSU ranked 100th nationally in passing. Meyer is seeking a 50/50 run pass balance this year, and to do that JT will need to lead a talented but inexperienced wide receiver group. How is JT looking? “He’s on top of his game,” said Meyer  — Tim May with more. Of course, with only three returning offensive starters, Saturday represents a first opportunity for many to step up. Mike Weber will be Ohio State’s starting tailback, (VIDEO of Weber’s parents hearing the big news). Meyer points to H-Back Curtis Samuel as the team’s top playmaker, expect the ball in his hands often Eric Seger writes. Las Vegas has confidence in OSU’s offense — the Buckeyes are now favored by 28.5 points Saturday.

BURROWS OUT FOR SEASON? Safety Cam Burrows might miss the season with a foot sprain, Tim May with more.
