Buckeye Daily – Depth Chart Released

DEPTH CHART RELEASED; “ZERO INDICATION” GIBSON WILL LEAVE; BOWLING GREEN HYPE

By Jim Baird | AM Football Briefing | Wednesday, August 31 – 6:15 AM

DEPTH CHART RELEASED: Ohio State released it’s depth chart heading into week 1. Read it here. What stood out? First, ‘OR’ is used pretty frequently, indicating the coaching staff is playing it coy and/or will rotate heavily in some positions. In one of the summer’s most heated battles, Marshon Lattimore appears on track to start at corner after making it through camp healthy, notes Bill Landis. Ohio State likes their options at corner, Tim May writes.

“ZERO INDICATION” GIBSON WILL LEAVE: A day after the university announced the fall suspension of wide receiver Torrance Gibson, it appears he’ll stay at OSU. Meyer: “I have zero indication that he wants to leave.” Eric Seger with more.

BOWLING GREEN HYPE: Ohio State released its hype video for the Bowling Green game, WATCH. In a testament to the youth on a team with 16 new starters, at least seven players in the video are no longer on the squad. Ohio State is a 27.5 favorite Saturday, expect to see many more highlights.
