WHAT TO EXPECT SATURDAY: Monday shed more light on what to expect against Bowling Green. First, the coaching staff is extremely confident about the talent they have. Meyer “can’t wait” to watch the young guys line up. Offensively, the Buckeyes will be more balanced in play calling, the goal is a 50/50 run-pass attack. Offensive coordinator Ed Warinner, “I think that’s what we want our identity to be is to No. 1 play fast, be physical and be very balanced.” Walk-on Tyler Durbin, who nailed a 62-yard kick in practice, will start at kicker. OSU is favored by 27.5 points.
GIBSON SUSPENDED: Receiver Torrance Gibson was suspended for the fall from Ohio State for undisclosed reasons. At Monday’s press conference, Meyer said “It is not athletic or football (related), and I disagree with (the suspension),” Tim May with the story.
