Buckeye Daily – Weber Time

WEBER TIME; HERE COME THE YOUNG GUNS; TSUN TWITTER IS DUMB

By Jim Baird | AM Football Briefing | Friday, August 19

WEBER TIME: How good can Mike Weber be? The redshirt freshmen is poised to carry the load this year at running back. A Detroit native, Weber rumbled for 2,268 yards and 29 touchdowns as a senior at Cass Technical. A torn meniscus in 2015 camp ended his first year with the Buckeyes. Now Weber is ready. Bill Rabinowitz on how Weber has improved his mind and body. Austin Ward on if Weber is the next great OSU tailback.

HERE COME THE YOUNG GUNS: There is a serious youth movement at Ohio State. That kind of thing happens when a program’s recruiting classes are consistently some of the best in the country. It happens more quickly when a program is trying to replace 16 starters and only has six seniors on the roster. With 24 enrollees, Ohio State’s 2016 recruiting class ranked No. 4 in the nation by 247Sports. Of those coming aboard, eight freshmen have stood out to Urban during camp — Tim May with the early eight catching Coach Meyer’s eye. And, wide receiver Binjimen Victor and walk-on running back Jordan Leasure both just lost their black stripes, signifying full acceptance to the team, WATCH.

TSUN TWITTER IS DUMB: Global experts have long agreed that That School Up North is dumb. Yesterday the Wolverines’ Twitter semi-trolled Ohio State, Bill Landis with the details. The Game in the Shoe is in 99 days. Urban Meyer has never lost to That School Up North.
