SHARP MONEY: There are three teams with better odds than OSU of winning the national championship in 2016. Who? Alabama, LSU and Clemson. Betting powerhouse Bovada has the pair of SEC clubs as 6:1 and 7:1 respectively and Clemson sitting at 17:2. The Buckeyes clock in at 9:1, tied for the fourth best odds with That School Up North. Non-conference foe Oklahoma sits at 16:1. D.J. Byrnes with more and the latest Heisman odds that see JT also sitting at No. 4. Are JT’s odds too high? Bill Landis takes a look.
SECRET WEAPON? Ohio State has not been wanting for talent at tight end. But those talents have been wanting for touches. Take Nick Vannett, who was drafted in the third round after racking up a grand total of 0 touchdowns and only 19 receptions last season. This season, tight end Marcus Baugh thinks more opportunities will come his way. He may be right. Tim May breaks it down.

THAT OTHER SCHOOL UP NORTH: All-American and captain Raekwon McMillan is poised to lead the Silver Bullets this season. He is also clear-eyed in his goals: asked what he wanted to improve, he didn’t hesitate: “Not lose to Michigan State.” Tony Gerdeman with more, and the latest out of camp.
**TALES FROM RIO** BUCKEYE DOWNS WORLD NO. 1 FENCER: OSU’s Eleanor Harvey made history at the Olympic Games, advancing to the quarterfinals after a big upset over world No. 1 Arriana Errigo (Italy). VIDEO.
